You can help Jack in a potentially big way simply by letting caring and compassionate friends and colleagues know about this web site. Pass the link on to the Editor of your local newspaper. Maybe they can write a feature article.

The more people possessing empathy who know about his work and his selfless dedication, the more support he will receive - it's that simple.  The Milk of Human Kindness spreads proportionately to the many little drops that are poured.

~ If you can just do that - thank you - you have already contributed! ~

Here are other ways you can assist this extraordinary man's work, and his international charity:  Calcutta Rescue:

1)  If there is a support group in your country (see list below) contact them to see if you can offer help eg. with fund raising in your home town, or with your own adminstrative or computer skills.

2)   If there is no support group in your country, and you feel a strong committment to help Jack, email the Calcutta Rescue HQ here to see how you might go about setting up your own dedicated country support group. In particular, full support groups are urgently needed in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

3)  If you are unable to spare the time for (2) but want to help, you can volunteer to act in a PR capacity in your town/city person by distributing newsletters, promoting handicrafts etc. to your local press/media. You can also set up jumble sales, etc. in your local club, pub, or church to raise funds.

4)  If you are fit and strong, you can volunteer to work for Jack in India. For details and vacancies,  see the Calcutta Rescue web site here under  'Volunteer Info'

5) You can buy from or promote the CR Handicrafts project - see the here under  'Handicrafts' section

6)  If you are in Kolkata on holiday, business, or backpacking, contact the Calcutta Rescue Office there to enquire about visiting the various projects, and the handicrafts centre:  85, Collin Street, 700 016 Kolkata West Bengal, India, Phone: +91.33.2217.5675

7)  If you are a journalist, photographer, or just have a travel blog - why not write about Jack's work  and Calcutta Rescue?  As an excellent example of this, see Mr Sanguine's web site (Terence Tay)here  (Thank you Terence, for supporting Jack and allowing us to reproduce samples of your superb photography on this web site!)

8) Log on to Danielle Aird's very nice book support web site here

9) Last but not least you can donate - every little bit counts - here by credit card, or here by bank draft (click remittance form link)
